S0071 PETER STUYVESANT - Hudson River Day Line passenger steamer. Built in 1927 at Wilmington, DE, she was the first propeller ship built by the line. Although she operated on the New York-Albany run and other scheduled services, she was designed for charter and moonlight cruises. She was in service until the 1960s. She ended her days as a restaurant in Boston. This view shows her at Rockaway, NY on a special excursion from Yonkers in the early 60s.
