S0065 HENDRICK HUDSON - Hudson River Day Line sidewheel steamer. She was large, fast and commodious with a passenger license of over 5000 passangers. Built in 1906 at the Marvel shipyard in Newburgh, NY she ran on the Hudson until the end of the 1948 season when the company was sold. After being laid up for several years she was towed to Philadelphia for scrapping. This view shows her in dry dock at the Todd Shipyards in Hoboken, NJ being readied for a coming season.
